The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lycoming County is to provide a volunteer mentor for children who are at-risk and in need of a positive role model. Our agency serves the children of Lycoming and Tioga counties. Big Brothers Big Sisters supports a child’s growth and development through a variety of programs, each characterized by a one-to-one relationship. Our work is as elementary as putting a friend in a child’s life and as essential as putting hope into a child’s future. Each week nearly 200 men and women in our community share their lives with their Little Brothers and Sisters. They may go to a basketball game, see a movie, take a long walk, or bake a pizza together. They share conversation about life, school, and family. They learn about each other, themselves, and what it means to be a friend.
